The Horse Inspired Growth
& Learning Center Inc.
Changing lives through the power of the horse
Whether you are a student wanting an academic internship or someone considering a career change we have internships that can give you experience in all aspects of equine assisted therapy and equine assisted learning. You will have the opportunity to be totally immersed in the day to day operations of an established center and what it takes to start and maintain a competent, ethical practice. We are approved by Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University as a site providing internships for graduate level students.
It is our goal to bring EAP/EAL to the community by helping others to establish themselves as competent practitioners in the field. Our experience has shown that with perserverance and practice this can become the most rewarding work you will ever experience.
Academic Students:
If you are attending a college or university other than Johns Hopkins or Loyola University please speak with your advisor to start the process of site approval. Once your college or university approves us as your site you will be required to have two interviews with our staff (horses included). Our center receives many inquires each year for internship placement so we are looking for students that are excited about this modality and its relevance to the therapeutic community.
